As a child, I spent my days roaming the wooded foothills and following the creeks and streams so abundant in rural WestVirginia....absorbing the beauty of the wildlife around me.
Longing to capture some of that elusive essence....the spirit that seems to linger longest in places that are "left to Nature"....I began to paint.
Coupled with my love and respect for all of God's creation, is the desire to convey that love to canvas, leather or feather. It is my wish to give others a glimpse of this feeling, allowing them to touch the life-spirit in all living things.
As a self-taught artist, with no formal training, I rely on instinct, imagination and much research. On-hands experience with my many animal friends over the years, marvelous books, and a good camera are my biggest allies.
